HONOLULU -

In remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Governor Abercrombie is inviting everyone to ring a bell on Friday at 6:01 p.m.

That is the exact time, 56 years ago to the minute that Dr. King was assassinated.

In conjunction with the bell ringing, there will be a moment of silence at the State Capitol Rotunda, where the Hawaii Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition and the Hawaii Needs a Raise coalition will host a rally from 4 to 6:30 p.m. after "The People’s Walk" through downtown Honolulu beginning at 3:30 p.m.
