HONOLULU -

Honolulu police have captured the second inmate to escape Laumaka Work Furlough Center.

State officials say Jared Denault was discovered missing from the center at 1:25 a.m. as staff did their regular security check.

The 36-year-old man is described as 5-foot-8 and 190 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. Denault also has multiple tattoos on his face, neck and arms.

Denault’s next parole hearing is scheduled for September.

His charges are Ownership/Possession of Prohibited Firearm and Place to keep Pistol or Revolver.

Denault's escapee comes on the heels of another Laumaka escapee, Eric Pixley.
