Security guard rescues snorkeler off Turtle Bay
Quick action by an alert security guard on Oahu's North Shore may have saved the life of a tourist Friday.
According to emergency medical personnel, a 26-year-old tourist was snorkeling at the lagoon at Turtle Bay around 12:30 p.m. when a security guard found he floating face down.
The security guard jumped in the water and brought her to shore, where the guard began applying CPR.
Eventually the woman was revived. She was alert and breathing when she was transported to the care of EMS.
