HONOLULU -

The city's Department of Parks and Recreation has closed Foster Botanical Gardens for the rest of Tuesday due to high winds.

A large tree split in half and is resting on another tree.  Tree removal equipment and staff are set to remove it.

City officials say this is just a precautionary measure.

Foster Botanical Gardens is expected to reopen on Wednesday.  Click here to see normal hours for the gardens.
