MOKULEIA, Hawaii -

The pilot of a towplane suffered minor injuries after the aircraft made a hard landing at the Dillingham Airfield in Mokuleia Thursday afternoon, according to Emergency Medical Services officials.

The Federal Aviation Administration says a Cessna 305A flipped over after landing at around 1:20 p.m.

The pilot, a man in his 50s, was able to get himself out of the towplane.  A towplane is an airplane that tows gliders.

The pilot refused transportation to the hospital with only minor cuts.
