HONOLULU -

Transportation Security Administration officials confiscated a multi-tool with a knife and an inert grenade at the Honolulu International Airport in the past week, according to The TSA Blog.

A traveler brought the multi-tool through the TSA checkpoint.  He was permitted to exit the checkpoint to have his item placed in his checked baggage.

When the passenger returned and submitted his property at the checkpoint, the multi-tool was found concealed inside a thermos.

An inert grenade was also found in a carry-on bag at the Honolulu International Airport.  Any item that looks like a bomb, grenade or mine is prohibited on planes.  Click here to read why inert items cause problems.
