Waipahu man dies in early morning car crash

21-year-old Waipahu man died early Sunday morning after he crashed his car  near the intersection of Iroquois Road and West Lock Drive.

EWA, Hawaii -

A man is dead after crashing his car in Ewa early Sunday morning.

Police say the single-car crash happened around 12:15 am  near the intersection of Iroquois Road and West Lock Drive.

Traffic investigators say the 21-year-old Waipahu man was driving on Iroquois Road before he lost control at a bend in the road.

Witnesses say the car rolled over several times before it came to a stop.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash.

This is the 30th fatality on Oahu roads this year as compared to 24 at the same time last year
