Water restored after 8-inch water main break near Makaha Beach Park
Board of Water Supply crews responded to an 8-inch water main break on Farrington Highway near Makaha Beach Park Monday afternoon.
This break was reported by contractors working in the area, whose work inadvertently damaged the water main, according to the Board of Water Supply.
Approximately 137 customers from Kili Drive to Kaena Point were without water service.
Multiple alternate water sources were deployed, including two roving water wagons, to assist customers affected by the main break.
Water service was restored to all customers by 8:15 p.m.
Crews worked to repave the road and all lanes were reopened.
