The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of the 52-year-old woman who died after a traffic accident in Iwilei on Tuesday.
She was identified as Karen Kanetoku of Honolulu. The medical examiner says the cause of death was "accidental."
Police say it happened around 4:20 p.m Tuesday near the Discount Furniture Warehouse on Sumner Street.
Witnesses say an 86-year-old woman accidentally put her car in reverse instead of drive, hitting her daughter, Karen, and another car, pinning Kanetoku underneath the vehicle.
Kanetoku was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died.
