Jones Ilon showed very little emotion in court Wednesday morning for the head-on collision he caused.

Two people in the other car were seriously injured.

The passenger in Ilon's car, 28-year-old Billy Thomas, was killed.

"Your honor, I'm sorry for what I did your honor – for what happened," said Ilon.

The Defense attorney asked the judge to be lenient on Ilon, saying Thomas was supposed to be the designated driver, but he was drinking so Ilon got behind the wheel.

The judge said the bottom line is that Ilon was drunk and was driving.  He was convicted of negligent homicide and two counts of negligent injury.
