Governors outlast Crusaders in interleague play

Preseason action continues with interleague play between the Farrington Governors and the St. Louis Crusaders Thursday night at Aloha Stadium.

Former University of Hawaii football player Matt Wright made his head coaching debut with St. Louis.

Governor running back Abraham Silva ran away from the Crusader defense for a 52-yard touchdown, as Farrington strikes first with a quick 6-0 lead.

The Crusaders strike back -- Robert Faleafine to Jeremy Tabuyo, who is committed to Texas A&M.  That also went for 52 yards to put St. Louis up 7-6.

But, the Governors run game was too solid.  Silva gets lose for another TD, this time from 14 yards out.  He rushed for 157 yards in the game with three touchdowns.

Farrington wins it 39-33 and the Governors are off to a 2-0 interleague start.
