The Farrington Governors got its first win of the Oahu Interscholastic Association regular season over the Castle Knights Saturday night 44-3.
The Governors had a net offense of 305 yards at Roosevelt High School compared with the 11 yards the Knights gained.
Five of the six touchdowns Farrington scored were from the running game. It was a balanced attack between Abraham Silva, with 10 rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns against Castle, and Tyler Tamua, who finished the game with 11 carries for 70 yards and two TDs.
The Governors even had the upper hand on defense. Senior Dane Tai scored a safety for Farrington to put him team up 30-3 in the second quarter.
The couple of bright spots for Castle was a 29-yard field goal by junior kicker Kyle Urasaki and an interception by senior defensive back Isaiah Ukauka.
Farrington will now battle Kaimuki on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. at Kaiser High School. Castle will take on Moanalua on the road on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
