The St. Louis and Kamehameha football teams went to Aloha Stadium Friday night for a shootout and the Crusaders won the game, 34-23.
Senior St. Louis quarterback Kawai Mook-Garcia had his best game of the season with 320 yards in the air and four passing touchdowns.
All four of Mook-Garcia's touchdowns went to senior Crusader wide receiver Jeremy Tabuyo. Tabuyo had 141 yards on those four touchdown catches, including a 68-yard TD catch in the fourth quarter.
Senior Warrior quarterback Cid Camanse-Stevens had 283 yards in the air with two passing touchdowns, which was also his best performance of the season.
Although the Kamehameha defense held Crusader running back Adam Noga to only 60 yards and a touchdown, the Warriors could not get its own running game going with only 31 net yards rushing and an average of 0.9 yards per rush.
Kamehameha's next game will be against Damien on Oct. 6 at Aloha Stadium. That same night, St. Louis will take on Pac-Five.
