HONOLULU -

Wayne Moses, 59, was officially hired Friday as the new running backs coach for the University of Hawaii football team.

Moses replaces Chris Wiesehan who left the Rainbow Warriors last Monday accepting the offensive line job at Temple.

Moses is a veteran college football coach with stops at big-name programs such as USC, UCLA and Stanford.  He also has experience coaching running backs with the NFL's St. Louis Rams.

Last season, Moses coached slotbacks at Army under head coach Rich Ellerson, who's a former defensive coordinator at UH.

This is the third time Moses will work under Hawaii head coach Norm Chow.  He coached running backs when Chow was offensive coordinator with both the Trojans and the Bruins.
